Legion of Mary

Legion of Mary is a world-wide organization of Catholic men and women who perform spiritual works in their parish. They place themselves under the banner of Mary, so that, with her help, they may develop greater holiness in their lives and spread a deeper devotion to her among others. Some of the apostolic works include: door to door visitation, distribution of religious literature, visiting the sick in hospitals, infirmaries, and homes, encouraging fallen-away Catholics to return to the practice of their faith, and prison visitations.
